The Power of Prayer Breakfast

NCNW Minnie H. Goodlow Page Section hosts The Power of Prayer Breakfast biennial event.  The signature event supports our mission and is distinguished by a special time of Prayer, Praise and Thanksgiving to our Lord.  

During this time it is our tradition to present awards to women in our community, and our NCNW members for their exceptional service. Award categories include: Education, Civic and Social Service, Christian Education, Volunteerism, and the Mary McLeod Bethune Award, the highest honor bestowed by the organization.  This ticketed event is supported by membership and guests.

The 13th annual Power of Prayer Breakfast was held on November 9, 2019, Hilton Garden Inn, Duncanville, Texas.  220 attendees joined in prayer for family, community, education, and our Nation and we presented eight awards.  The theme was Exalting God through Christ in the Power of the Holy Spirit, scripture reference, Romans 8:10. 

The 14th  Annual Power of Prayer Breakfast was changed to the Prayer and Awards Program, a virtual event held on November 12, from 10:00 -12:15 pm.  Our theme was “Women Who Pray” scripture reference, Luke 2:36-28.  Our guest speaker was Dr. Sheila M. Bailey, President and Founder, Sheila B. Ministries, Inc. We honored several of our NCNW sisters and community leaders including local pastors, educators, medical, and law enforcement. It was a grand event with over 70 In attendance and it greatly impacted the lives of honorees, attendees, and the community.
